Scottish Fold or Scottish Fold is a short-haired cat, which is characterized by the characteristic structure of ears, bent slightly forward and lowered down. This breed has received such unusual appearance as a result of a gene mutation. Several centuries ago, Scottish Fold Lop-eared was already quite popular in the East, and therefore for a long time it was believed that this breed has its roots in China, they even wore the name “Chinese”. The Turkish van is a cat called “van katu” in its historic homeland, which means “Van Lake cat”. According to local legend, these snow-white cats caught mice on Noah’s Ark, and when they reached the land, Allah blessed them with his touch. In those places, which touched the divine hand, wool acquired a crimson hue. These cats came to Europe during the time of the Crusades, but their purposeful breeding began in England in the sixties of the last century. Continue reading
